2 layouts + 3 wallpapers + 4 affies
Gaaaaaahhhh! That is what I have to start with, because these past few days have been crazy busy. I have been running from place to place trying to do everything! But I bring you updates, so all shall bow down. = )
How was everyone’s 4th of July for the Americans out there? I had an awesome night. Took some pictures with my camera for stocks (cliche I know but I am gonna make MAGIC from them!) and we went to the next town over for “Freedom Fest” it was awesome and we go there every year, though last year we got rained out which sucked…(oh geez run-on sentence much?). Though this year it was lovely and Five for Fighting was the band playing! I know in a little town that I live in Five for Fighting came to play is amazing, they played a variety of songs and they played one of my favorites “65 Mustang”. I sang along to all of the songs because they are lovely. The fireworks were short though, but they were pretty.
Then on July 5th I went to Warped Tour 2010! Now that was an energy drainer. I took my two little sisters with me because it is something we do every year, and this is my fourth consecutive year going. The first band we saw was Bring Me The Horizon and it was crazy and there was mosh circles and walls of death, I stood off to the side because my sisters are more into the hardcore than I am. Then my sunscreen bottle broke within the first half hour but at least we brought to bags to carry everything in so I put all the important stuff in the dry bag (money, ipod touch, etc). Though we met Bring Me The Horizon and I didn’t want to sound like a creeper and say that I made some artwork with them or seen some really rad vectors of Oli Skyes, so I just said I liked their tattoos. We also watched Never Shout Never, All American Rejects, Becca, Mayday Parade, Motion City Soundtrack, I Made a Mess (?), Alesena, and some other bands that escape me. Motion City Soundtrack was my favorite and probably the best I have seen live. I even got to meet them and got their autographs…! They were really awesome and I told them that, I was even the last person in line luckily! Though AAR were the biggest douche bags I ever had the pleasure torture of watching. They added all these cuss words in their songs, Tyson Ritter acted like a horn dog and demanded attention, he was asking people to act crazy or he would pout, and he kissed some groupie (gross). So I wouldn’t recommend watching All American Rejects because they ruined everything I loved about the band. But Never Shout Never was crazy busy with fans and the entire two stages were taken up by people listening and Christofer Drew just makes me laugh because he smokes way to much pot and is a little bit too hippie sometimes, but he is from my home state so it is cool I guess. Mayday Parade was at a tiny stage though and it was stupid because it was way overcrowded. Though my sisters got to watch BAMF! they are a local St. Louis band and they were pretty awesome while I was suffering through AAR’s set.
The best part about Warped Tour though was there was a Willy Wonka merch tent and they were giving away free candy and at the end they were letting people take boxes home and my sisters and I took some candy. It was better than buying like six dollar french fries so I was fine with carrying the candy. Though the people are always interesting at Warped Tour, they are a little more on the hardcore side and you get lots of tattoos and piercings which don’t faze me at all. Though there were these buff Chippendale looking guys that only wore some rainbow suspenders and some girlie short shorts, I made the mistake of looking down….*cough cough* It was an interesting view.
I am really pale and I tried so hard to put sunscreen on all day so I wouldn’t get burnt but I still got some really bad sun on my back (because I couldn’t reach) and the front of my chest because I thought I had it covered. My face is a tiny bit burnt because I kept sweating in the face and I couldn’t keep the sunscreen on. Though all in all; Warped Tour was such a nice day and it was really nice and breezy even though it was hot in some parts.
Other than that I have been working on updates and that Hey Monday layout was a pain to code because I didn’t know how I wanted to code it, I have more layouts sitting on my hard drive that I have to code and that shall be fun as well. It takes forever to update things lately it seems, maybe I am just out of it. Oh and create blog admins are stupid, they reject some of my layouts with no reason at all or a really stupid reason like my Paramore layout they said “the links were too big and there is a weird orange splotch on the banner”. WAT?! I have seen a billion layouts ten times worse then what I make and they reject it?! I think I might just keep submitting until they accept, ha ha ha. Or it will change it and then change it back after they accept it because they are stupid and everyone wants a myspace layout for some reason.
Oh I have some new affiliates everyone needs to check out! Colour-Theory and Skyline Illusions are awesomely old affies. Though I have some new ones; like Gabrielle @ Shutter Ten and Elise @ Guilty Pleasure Designs. Check them out because they are nice and sweet!
Enough boring for one night. I must code some more. = )

24 supernatural icons + 3 new affies
Hey everybody! It is so nice to get back in the swing of things and be able to blog again, I haven’t done it in so long that I just want to write all the time; but I don’t want to bore anyone.
First off I have three wonderful new affies; one of my super great friends and the lovely lady that got me inspired to get this place back up and running Jeni at lemon end, then there is also some more lovely ladies Mandie at whisper wars, and Syd at thc so check them out because they definitely have some amazing stuff.
Uh, also made some really amazing icons from Supernatural’s season 4 “Death Takes A Holiday” they are all of Dean Winchester but I think he is good enough looking. Though I found this really awesome caps at paper late a live journal community. They are all 1080p blu-ray caps so if you want high quality stuff check it out. I forgot how long it takes to update everything I have to get in the swing of things.
Oh also got a new layout for my icon live journal, I made the little image at the top but someone else coded it because I don’t know how to code lj layouts…right now… = )
Other than that that is pretty much it in site world, though I did go on a downloading spree yesterday. I love downloading fan mixes not only with awesome songs but it has to have decent fan art and I went on lion & lamb because I really like the soundtracks to twilight and found some mind blowing fan mixes and have been listening to them non-stop. I just have a playlist in iTunes to my twilight fan mixes. I might not love the books and movies as much as the music but that is fine by me. And on top of that I discovered a really amazing new artist (for me at least) which is Florence & The Machine. Seriously, they could sing about the ABC’s and make it sound epic. But if anyone knows where some really awesome SPN or Vampire Diaries or even Lost fan mixes are please notify me and I will be up on it like a bee on honey. Plus free music what is not to love! But I totally found an epic fan mix but the link to the mix didn’t work anymore so I am going to buy all the music off of iTunes because it had some really great songs on there and I love to build up my music collection.
Oh and I am registered on Disney Movie Rewards things to “win prizes” after you collect so many points when you buy Disney merchandise (and I love those kids movies!) and I totally got a free blu-ray and just had to pay for $3 for shipping. I totally did it because those things are like $30 usually, the only downside is that I don’t have a blu-ray player right now only a dvd player. So would anyone like to share their blu-ray with me?
Yeah that is pretty much enough rambling for one night.

Okay so I was just a tad excited and opened this place up! I got about everything ready to go I just have to install fan update really and then I will be gearing, but everything else should be working no problem, and if it isn’t please inform me because I don’t want some stupid broken link somewhere….grr. And just in case anyone was wondering no I did not steal someones identity I was the discoisdead.net Ashley and then the stupid ad thing would let me buy the domain so now I shall be forever discoisdead.org Ashley, it is a little different but still very much the same place.
Anyway, yesterday was my birthday and I had an amazing day! Because I first I thought it was going to be super crappy because I didn’t have anything planned, but then I made some friends with my friends and I was pretty stoked. Because my birthday was yesterday it was the convenient day to watch the Eclipse premiere. And the theater I went to they showed all three movies for like $20 bucks, so we got there pretty early around 4:45 or so and then didn’t leave until 2:40. When you watch them all in a row you notice how they get a bigger budget each time and how it gets slightly better. But twilight is the cheesiest one I think as far as movies go. My friend Kayley and her sister Allie watched it with me, Allie hasn’t read the books and Kayley hasn’t read all the books or seen the movies and we joked around so I had loads of fun in that area of my life. Honestly they didn’t do a half bad job with Eclipse; I liked all the different flash backs they had. Though I think they pushed sex more in the movies than in the books which was really odd and weird, but that is hollywood for you. If they are not all over each other it is not okay.
For my birthday I got some different gift cards to Borders and Barnes and Nobel and Kayley gave me some cupcakes and a really awesome Pysch book; because we always have Pysch marathons now (and for those who don’t know what Pysch is—imdb it or get yourself down to an episode of USA). It is probably one of my favorite tv shows of all time. Though Lost, Supernatural, and True Blood come all in as my firsts. And then Vampire Diaries will probably be added to that list in the future once I buy the box set because I have always been so busy and never have gotten a chance to sit down and watch it. OH then my other friend invited me to go see Wicked with her because it is playing in Saint Louis at the Fox until July 11th. Which I am super excited for because just the other day I was telling someone how much I wanted to see that play and if I had a chance I would and look opportunity is a knockin’ so I am going to be taking it totally.
Oh yeah….so I have been missing for the past couple months. Mainly because I was really busy with school (started my freshman year of college!) and mainly because I didn’t have the money to buy another year with skye-host (which is a major rip-off by the way). Though now that summer started I started getting back into the swing of things with all my crazy sites. Like RCR which I am so glad to be a part of again. And then I began looking for a host one day, was not going back to skye-host ever again and then I found Jeni’s website (Lemonend) one of my really great friends and talented artist and found that she was hosted through Ali of wearthesun.net. And I looked at her hosting packages there and I think everyone should be hosted through her, I get UNLIMITED bandwidth and space for only $7 a year, that is less than 50 cents a month, which is the best I have ever seen anywhere of all time! And I have actually added new content, got rid of some of the older stuff and reorganized different things. When I get a different scanner that works I might be doing more in the future, it is just since I got my iMac my computer doesn’t want to talk to my scanner but it prints and copies it is silly. I blame it on HP.
Though I have been saving up for a nifty little Macbook Pro which I am excited about because I shall be getting it tax free weekend when I can get the most for my money. And I am trying to find the perfect printer I can’t decide between canon or hp but I will be figuring it out soon because I am the type of person to know exactly what I want when I get there. I don’t like to have people to tell me what I “need”. I work at Best Buy I can totally figure it out.
Yeah really don’t know what else to tell you guys besides check out the updates and give me some feedback, I would love to hear from all of you once again, I have been gone for far to long and miss all of you crazy kids. Well I hope everyone has a great day and I shall be back with more updates soon. I have more layouts to code anyway. I just wanted to get this done. But I will be fixing things for awhile on createblog and deviantart since all the links are all messed up. Grr
If there is something that doesn’t make sense in here I apologize, I was to excited to probably read through everything.
- Ashley (greatly misses everybody)
